Should I trust Fenix?

I have a E21 that I've used almost daily all year and it has been 100% solid. I got lost while hiking a few months back, the sun went down, my headlamp's old batteries failed me, and if I didn't have my Fenix, I don't know what I would have done.

I've been using a PD30 for a long time now and have complete confidence in it. It's been put through hell and has never let me down. I believe it's every bit as good a light as our Streamlights and Surefires.

I'm considering upgrading to one of the newer PD32s.

I had a PD32 that worked great up until its tail switch went out. Would turn on, but no momentary. I contacted my Authorized Dealer I purchased the light from to replace the switch. It took 4 MONTHS! and a semi-nasty email to get the switches replaced. I was going to buy another Fenix light, but if this is the way their ADs treat customers, never again.

I'm a medic. When I need my light, I NEED my light. Never again.

That's insane. I would never treat my customers like that.

Before I started selling Fenix I bought, at retail, the following:

LD15 - two
PD20
TK21
TK41
TK60
TK70
HL30

I also bought a PD20 for my dad and gave my mom a PD22 S2 for xmas.

The LD15 sits in a Maxpedition pouch in the car
I carry and use the PD20 daily.
The TK21 sits in the office.
The TK41 sits in the bedroom
The TK60 is stored in a bag in the back of the SUV.
The TK70 gets used daily to take the dogs outside.
The HL30 gets used anytime I need hands free, which is often.

Out of all the lights I've sold, I had a TK22 that would not go to low and a PD32UE that would not turn on. I just did a run of 40 PD32UEs and hand tested (ugh) everyone.

Here's a troubleshooting page out of the latest Fenix catalog. If *anyone* thinks this image is too large to inline, shoot me a PM and I'll link it instead.

I have a Fenix LOP which I carried daily on my keychain for almost ten years. I never cleaned it until recently when I replaced it with an EO5. My keys have been in the Atlantic ocean, swimming pools, crushed, thrown, dropped, you name it. The anodizing is almost completely gone but the light works just like it did when I got it (used I might add, in a trade on these forums).

It's now my tacklebox light just because the EO5 is so much brighter and smaller (and has a more usable "flood" type light) for EDC.

I have a bunch of Fenix lights all over the place and not a single one has ever failed me.

Just my two cents.

I have an LD10 that has been my EDC light for years. A single AA battery every so often and it just plain works. Every time. I also like that it has no memory and, therefore, no constant tiny drain on the battery.

I also have a Jetbeam PA20 that I picked up last Winter. I carry it with me in my Winter coat pocket. So far, it has been very bright and trouble free.
