Should I use my Magnum Eu-17?

I'm in a bit of a quandry, I just picked up a Magnum Eu-17 and it's... beautiful. I'm thinking I just can't bring myself to use it. I'm actually thinking of getting an EVO from Jensen Elite Blades to use when I go hunting/camping but would really like to use the Magnum... what is Jerry's warranty towards refinishing? I ask cause it looks like the serial number is not engraved into the blade, just into the finish.
 
I would use it. You will think it is even more beautiful after you see what you can do with that thing. I completely understand your dilema though. I was going to try to get in on a magnum and it was going to be for usin'. I started a thread with a similar question on using a LE when the FSH came out.

There's a fee for refinishing and he mainly does bead blasting not re-coating.

Only one thing can be said....beat the living crap out of it. It's a Busse and not using it would be abuse. I beat my knives in the jungle every day to the point it could be called abuse!!


YOWZA!!!! What the heck happened :eek: :eek: All of a sudden my fingers started typing but I couldn't stop them :confused:
 
You know, I never see pics of used Busse's :)

One other question, what or where is a good place to get a sheath for my first Busse?
 
What kinda pants ya wanna put yer Busse into???

Not too long ago there was a "show us your users" thread. Does anyone happen to have a link to that one? There were some really nice user Busse's in there, the character marks are what make the knife.:D
 
Thanks for the info guys... I think I'll be using it, but not till Spring as Winter is too darn cold right now in the last frontier.

is it colder in space in the winter?
i wouldn't think so. :confused:
 
I had a limited edition Battle Mistress #8 that I used extensively on several winter camping trips. I will definitely use the Magnum I have. Not using a Busse is like buying a McLaren F1 so you can drive around New York City. :D I think the more you use a Busse, the more its value increases. You get to appreciate its capabilities.
 
If you have more than one, the dilemma is greatly diminished. My opinion, fwiw, is that you should definitely use some of your busses, otherwise you can't fully appreciate some of their excellent qualities.
