Really cold climate where you're at, perhaps?

I guess with some of the smaller blades, they might be more sluggish than some of the larger blades until the mechanism lube softened up...or maybe I have that backwards? Need to think about it...

I'm glad the issue eventually clears up for you with use.

It always does. And usually doesn't take long either. I'm just suprised that no one else has experienced this. I just thought it was something that happened with ALL speed safe's.
