Should Red Mallee Burl be stabilized?

Any one have experience with Red Mallee Burl? Should it be stabilized?

I love red Mallee and have used it stabilized only. I don't like using stabilized wood. I'm not sure how it would be in it's natural state.

I have always stabilized it.

Yes.Yes it should. It is too soft it will ding and warp, I know this for a fact. It comes from my part of the world. I have it warped and dinged on a kitchen knife.
