If I could get images like that, I'd stick 'em in every thread just so everybody would have to look at them. I wish. Great pics.

I had ulterior motives when I posted this thread/poll. It just seemed to me that alot of us are gettin in the habit of posting pictures of our work or recent purchases in every forum but the Gallery. I was just hoping this might make folks check out the Gallery more and post pix there more often. Thanks for your vote and attetion folks!

Keep the Gallery.

If anthing we should organize that section of this forum better to convert ot into a real showplace.

As OwenM mentioned above I would like to see more collections displayed. Perhaps we should encourage posting by staging quarterly contests. Everyone has to post their entry under a contest sub-forum by a given date. On that date we open a poll for 1 week, and the collection that gets the most posts wins a $###.## gift certificate from the 1SKS.

After the contest the contents of the sub-folder get archived, and a new subfolder is set up for the subsequent contest.

Does anyone have a good set of rules we can use?

I'm not good with rules, but I love the idea of a Contest and Free Gift Certificate from 1SKS. I think it should be a weekly contest and to have people really take it serious I think the FREE Gift Certificate should be for at least $1000. ;)

I'm sure Spark loves when we come up with new ideas to spend his money. :D
 
I'd like it if members would post all of their pictures in the gallery and link to it in the individual forums. That way I can see all of the pictures members share on all of the forums without trying to visit all of the forums. Does that make any sense? :confused: Did I use the word "all" enough? :)

You've got a little ahead of me here. While I think that it should be up to us to support this site (hence we help to generate business at 1SKS), where the money comes from is an entirely separate issue. We could probably raise the prize money through a small contest entry fee. The amount would probably be nominal, but it would make the exercise that much more fun. :)
