Should you carry more than one knife?

Tee you sure brought up a good point . I used to do just that . Now there is a no carry law up here so I limit myself to a compact folder . People would see I had two knives and just think weird . I try to tell em one is for work and one is for emergencies . Now I have a folder with two blades . One is for work and one is for emergencies . Its tough having an emergency knife in my pocket as its kinda a slow draw for an emergency .

That's funny, I thought I was the only one that carried more than one knife :D. I EDC a small folder to open mail, cut string, open packages of my kids' toys, etc..., and a larger folder for emergencies, that I never use.

If I'm venturing out into the woods, I carry a large folder, and a small and large fixed bladed knife. If going far or overnight (ie. with a pack), I'll add a hatchet.

I really prefer fixed blades over folders (stronger and safer), however, for EDC I only carry the folders because they seem more "correct" in the eyes of many :(. I recently purchased a Charles May Fireant that is small and really holds an edge that I'm considering as an EDC as it fits nicely inside a pocket.
