I've been thinking about making something for my 10 or 5 that would ride under a jacket and sit under the arm; almost a baldric but not. I'll post up when I get it figured out. I had something like that done with paracord and I loved having it sit right where it was. It was ready for quick access all the time, and no one ever knew I had the knife there unless I pulled it out to cut something..... :D I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks Trailbum

That is great..... it would be exactly what I would be looking for..... keeping my eye out... thanks

Here is just a quick something I threw together (put the straps on an existing sheath) Would that be more like what you want?

That would be it..... may run out today and check out some shoulder holsters at the gun shop..... easy to convert this to a Kydex sheath.... will post pics....

I'd braid the paracord together, you'll be more comfortable, and be carrying more paracord.

It seems to me that you could make your own MercHarness with the stock sheath & some paracord, in such a way that it goes over/around BOTH shoulders. And just use a piece of wide elastic band & put a snap on it---to go around your belt as well. That would be a sturdy setup for sure. The D-ring i made & added to my sheath would make that easy.

That's true also, and I thought about it last night when I was making those straps. I didn't do it with the stock sheath because I didn't want to take apart my Warrior inspired drop sheath.

The idea of having the second strap going around your chest is a great idea. It secures the sheath closer to the body and keeps it tight in so it's not flopping around. After I took the above pic I went and added those extra straps to it and that makes a big difference. I can wear the BK2 rid under a loose shirt and no one will be the wiser that it's even there.
