Shoulder rig for BK 2?

That's true also, and I thought about it last night when I was making those straps. I didn't do it with the stock sheath because I didn't want to take apart my Warrior inspired drop sheath.

The idea of having the second strap going around your chest is a great idea. It secures the sheath closer to the body and keeps it tight in so it's not flopping around. After I took the above pic I went and added those extra straps to it and that makes a big difference. I can wear the BK2 rid under a loose shirt and no one will be the wiser that it's even there.

I would definitely use something elastic as TwinStick suggested for the chest strap. Being able to angle away from your side while drawing might save some blood loss. ;)

Here is the one I use.

Good lord man, get some grivory on that. It's a fashion disaster. Nobody has brown scales with a black purse. Just sayin' you know.

That's true, I thought you were talking about the one that CRKT sold...
I personally use a homemade mercharness for my bk11. I modded the design a lttle so the knife sits at an angle instead of vertical, works great.

Yes CRKT has no honor at all. We had a three year contract, they chose not to renew it and that was fine. Then they started making it and calling it something else. That is bullshit - George

I call that bad business practices. Nobody has any respect anymore. I respect those that do.

There is a CRKT device made of paracord and some rubber/plactic bits for about 10 bucks (http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/CRBIOTAC/columbia-river-ed-van-hoy-biotac). But it is quite simple to replicate.
Take paracord to measure the length, make a loop to go over your shoulder and make knot that would sit around the middle of your back, over the spine. Then put one loose part over your other shoulder and then thread it through the eyelets of the kydex sheath on one side, and the other side under the shoulder and through the other side of the sheath. Then you can tie that on to you belt so it stays in place, or just tie it off below the sheath.
Cut off the rest of the cord, untie the knot pull out the core from the cord and seal ends with a lighter and repeat. The de-cored paracord is flat, quite comfy and still tests at some 200 pounds (if memory serves well). Plus you can adjust it to carry horizontally (bk2), vertically (bk7) or on an angle, lower or higher, all with a knot or few. And if you want to switch to belt carry the whole thing will fit in your pocket or can be wrapped around the sheath.
And then, if you want to carry a something bigger like bk9 you can do a Dundee style rig with the knife on your back.
Paracord - the wonder stuff!

elof_alv- That was the mercharness.
Rivertamer- I recommend punching some holes in scrap leather strips to make a sort of shoulder pad for each shoulder, much more comfy.
