Thanks Mike. Love the synthetic Ebony. I’ve had that knife in my hands more than once when we were at the Lake, but have always went with something else. Maybe I’ll correct that mistake this summer.

Carrying my very first knife, a Colonial Forest-Master, in this week's rotation; I've had it for over 60 years:


I'm also carrying this somewhat black Rough Rider midnight swirl gentleman's sowbelly stockman (thanks, Todd). The nice shield came off in the laundry one Saturday, but I found it rattling around in the washing machine, so I can glue it back on when I think of it.

I'd hate to lose it, but I'd hate to never carry it, either. When I was a kid, I think I had it tied to a belt loop with baler twine. I should probably go back to some kind of lanyard-based loss prevention system for the times I carry it.

I think I'm very fortunate to still have mine, although it basically stayed in a desk drawer from late 1969 to early 2014, so it didn't have many chances to go missing.
