That's interesting about the Gunboat covers Gary, I thought they were just blackI've carried a couple of coal-colored cutters this week.
NKCA gunboat canoe allegedly has "green bone" covers, but it looks black to me in almost every light:

If you Google "NKCA 1978 gunboat" there are many "hits", several of which mention "green bone".
