It was only AFTER I'd ordered 2 new Schrade Sharpfingers last weekend that I accidentally came across this site and caught up on Schrade/Taylor's history over the past couple years. Well, they arrived about 10 minutes ago, and yikes, it's a different animal now.
I don't have a scanner, or I'd gladly provide a side-by-side comparison between the original and the newer but not improved version. Don't get me wrong, i can work with it, but it's definitely NOT up to the same quality standards of the original. In the interests of not writing a novel-length post, I won't go into all the differences here, but if anyone would like the list, just let me know.
On the upside, at 13 bucks a pop, I have no problem testing this blade to the point of overkill. Who knows, maybe it'll surprise me and I'll have to re-post about how happy I am.
I realize this is a long shot, but does anybody have any original Sharpfingers they'd like to sell? I'll take ANY reasonable offers.....
