I want to publicly thank Monofletch for helping me out.

I had sent a Priority Mail package with Signature Confirmation to a buyer who refused the package. After waiting about 12 days for it to return to me, I began to wonder if I'd ever see the package again. This happened about the same time we got a new postmaster who is still learning the ropes and was not as helpful as I'm sure he will be in the future.

I read GB&U regularly and remembered Monofletch helping out others and generously offering to help out anyone who might need assistance with any USPS issues.

I sent him a PM. He found where the package was in the system, hooked me up with an employee at that Post Office and a few days later the package was returned to me.

I've sent and received hundreds of packages thru USPS over the past 4 years without a hitch. The USPS has been going thru some major restructuring in the last year or so, but still manage to get millions of packages where they need to be in a short period of time.

I appreciate their hard work and I especially appreciate Monofletch who went above and beyond.

BladeForums is a great community and, as many of you know, Monofletch is one of its outstanding members.

Thank you Al. I don't mind helping the good people of BF. It's amazing what a few phone calls with the right information can do.
 
He is a good guy, and personally I am glad he is here. Let's not forget about our other members and a fellow moderator that have also worked in the same industry, Esav and Skyhorse. They have all been very helpful and easy going. Not once have I ever witnessed these 3 guys not help someone with questions that they had answers to, or provide explanations for the USPS procedures that might be unknown to us the customer. Thanks guys!
 
Monofleck also helped me out tremendously when a package I sent back for a refund was misdelivered. Thankfully we were able to figure out a neighbor likely had it, courier was altered and it eventually was given to the seller. (my guess is USPS courier probably asked neighbors,the guy got spooked, and returned the package)

A stand up Bladeforums member, and phenomenal USPS worker. USPS needs more people like him.
 
Thank you Luis G. I have the tools in front of me all day at work....why not put them to good use! I'll do what I can to help, but even I am limited on the miracles I can work.

I am at a Cy Young pace now......:thumbup: :D

Agreed 100%... Actually Esav instilled faith about USPS - the government run postal system in my home country is a joke (they used to be, but have slightly improved now). I recall sending PMs to Esav enquiring about USPS and every time I received a encouraging response. Needless to say, I exclusively use USPS and have never had a single mishap in the last 3 or so years.

Yup, this community has solid people looking out for each other - its humbling the positive change digital revolution has brought!
 
One thing I have found consistent in my investigations is the address being CORRECT. Make sure the zip code is clear. Also take an extra 2 minutes and put the address inside the box and if you are using a 'sticky' label hand write the address on the box before you stick the label on. It seems silly, but it is effective.
 
Put some tape over the addresses on the front of the box. Should the packages get a quick rain shower or other sort of "splash" the addresses will mostly remain protected. ;)
 
Great guy! Have done a handful of deals with Monofletch...always super fair and on the lookout for what I need for my collection!
 
I just had to post this. I received this box at work. It was from Al (MerryMadMornk). He sent it out of the kindness of his heart. It shows what a great group of guys (and girls) we have here. This pic was just a quickie so ignore the fingerprints.
I offer my USPS services to help the members that need it, not for reward. I have the tools in front of me and when I get the time to search I do.

Thank you for your kindness Al- it is a beautiful knife.

Damn, I needed to help myself!! :o I shipped a knife to Barman1 and transposed 2 numbers in the zip code. It was held up in Albany, NY. Take the time to check and re check your handwriting before you ship!!
