Show Advise. What do you look for?

It helps to have good lights to illuminate the wood. The light at shows is often pretty bad and might not show the quality of the wood. If nothing else, the light will attract attention and draw people over.

What would you advise if I don't have access to an outlet? I'm trying to think of something and I got nothing

I'd call the show and confirm electrical is part of the deal. Most shows I've done it has been, however I can think of a couple that did not. Course it was way up in the mountains east of San Diego in an old barn. I'm sure ya have great phone service in Brea so the Square should work great for ya.

Yeah, I don't know. It seems like most of the prominent wood suppliers I buy from have lighting. It's probably plugged in. But, barring that, perhaps LED lighting and a battery? I don't know?

I know some that do a lot of shows in venues with no power and that's exactly what they do.

A hand truck, car battery, inverter and swing arm lamps with LED spot lights.

I attend shows with a friend that sells Koa (@koawoodforknives on IG). He arranges the blocks in a grid pattern and it is easy to see if one is gone. If one sells he replaces it with a new one. Only once in the 10 shows I've been at has someone stolen a piece. He marks the blocks with dots to reflect grade and price. He then uses masking tape to section the table for different prices.
