Show and Tell!! Your first Busse

A very long story, was browsing the knifes, thinking this would be nice and that would be nice, maybe I'll buy one when I have the cash, really wanted mercworx, but it was too expencive (and useless for me now) settled on the Sog whisper, googled it, came up with the review of strider, saw the warranty (I didn't know such warranties existed) tyhen saw the knifetest wideo and was almost sold. what was stoping me was the fact that it was a big knife, so I figured if I'm spending that much money might look for some options, looked at mictotech HALO 3, and desided to buy that,so I registered on the forums and asked out of the 4 knife companies (i also accidently came up with relentless knifes through google) So I just asked which of the 4 would be best for me, somebody suggested Busse, I tried looking for one got pissed, and disregarded, then someone again suggested busse, just to be cordial, and so the guys with such suggestions buggered off, I asked where at least I could see the model list, was sent to busse collector site, looked through them, liked the listed prices there, picked one, then came to this forum and started asking questions, was dissapointed and almost said screw it, but then skunk said, there is a rumor. So i waited, and the more I waited the more I wanted one. When the day finaly came three new GW were shown and i knew I had to have one, wanted the Red GW, but clicked the tan one, and disided to pick up the batac as well just so I can choose one knife and get rid of the other. When the knifes arrived, I didn't like the badger, but the GW was made for me, so I consider it my first busse, after about 10 minutes I have really wormed up to BATAC, and it keeps and keeps growing on me. Love both knifes. The GW Light is a keeper, I'll hang on to BATAC, but will maybe swap it later on for BA3 or something else, I like.

My first was a Mr. Mojo with an olive blade and black micarta handles.

(cue the Kramer gonorrhea music)

I got it in a 'ganza and I was so excited about scoring that I didn't care whether I really liked the knife or not.

It's gone now. It just wasn't meant to be.

Someone right now is giving it the love I couldn't offer.

:D :D

My first was a green Heavy Duty. I waited 3 months for this knife to reach Poland after I bought it - what a lesson of patience it was ! :D
When I found out that there are only 30 of this beauties all over the world - i could not bring myself to use it :( and I ended up exchanging it for a Black Tie warden and SS4. Both knives - the SS4 and Black tie GW are gone now but I have a lovely tan/tan Badger with perfect sheath and my lady has a big bottle of her favorite parfume :D!
Here's a pic of the HD with lovely sheath by PiterM:

my first was the AS love that knife, carry it almost everywere, in a kydex sheath in my pocket, now my collection of Busse family knives is pretty extensive, what drew me to Busse was the designs first, I fell in love with the satin jack and the active duty when i saw them, after that I loved teh SHBM, still dont have one of those though, then was the FBMLE, and the matching GW.
after design, the warranty drew me in, I'm pretty sure Strider is the only other knife company to offer such a warranty.

Mine was this Basic 9. I waxed and wained over the decision between a Cold Steel Trailmaster and this one. I made the right choice. Many have come and gone but this one has been with me for several years. Not goin anywhere anytime unless its with me.......

The Groove Master was my second purchase in the Busse lineup. Still got it too.

Here is a pic of my first INFI posing with others. My first INFI was a HHFSH. What a sweet knife.

I'm very new around here. I caught one of Lunde's posts on another forum, and the infection began ... that bastid! ;) From left to right in order of possession.

* I also picked up a great Crash Rat from 762 shooter .... thanks man! Not to mention a great grouping of sheaths from Chuck/ChuddyBear!

My first was the sage AD shown below. I've since added a GW and Meaner.

Not much of a story to tell really. I like the design of these three knives so I picked them up. They'll all be users.

Very nice start. Now just hang on for the ride.

My first was the snakeskin Meaner in this photo:

Of the knives in this picture, the only one I still have is the Meaner in black paper.

After a few Rats from the swamps of Ohio I picked up one of these.

Satin and Black Paper Meaner ordered directly from Busse. Saw it advertised in Blade Magazine and knew I had to get it. I still had a copy of Tactical Knives from 1995 with a cover story on the Steel Heart II. I didn't have the internet to order with back then so Busse sort of left my mind for a while. When I saw the Meaner, I knew I was hooked. This pic's been posted before.

It was an amazing user but eventually ended up being traded for something really special..

I had a couple of swampies before this... But Steel Hearts rule my heart, now... :D She left for a while, now she's here to stay...
I've had more than a 'few' since this FSH, but haven't seen any other Desert Shadow Camo / Tan Micarta for sale, other than the HOGFSH in Desert Shadow Camo / Tan I scored, and had to toss back some time later... :o
Overall - NO REGRETS! :)
