That looks sort of nifty, but in a not-very-functional sort of way. It reminds me of the Swindle clip (being on the back/spine side), and that thing wouldn't sit right in the pocket clipped for anything.

IMO, the best pocket clips are the ones that don't advertise what is in your pocket. The basic Emerson, Benchmade, & ZT clips are the best. I don't like chromed out pocket clips, I don't like painted pocket clips, or carved up Ti clips personally. The blacked out parkerized finish works the best for me.

I generally agree, but with one exception: the shiny clip on a William Henry E10 (IMO the perfect suit knife) just looks like a pen clip and works perfectly.

I have been a fan of Graham's pocket clips. sits well in the pocket and looks like a pen clip.

Something with skulls...lots of skulls. Maybe flames too.

Seriously though, in order:
1. CRK 21/25/Zaan clip. Subdued, blends easy, great retention, decent ride height.
2. Casey Lynch clips. Very well done to replace the awful Spyderco spoon clips and the bronze ano blends with most any pantalones.
3. Distant third, Benchmade parkerized clip (will you PLEASE offer your deep carry clip in parkerized finish; honestly just ditch all your painted clips for the black oxide)

So I'd say I don't like shiny clips, comma-shaped clips, nor clips with mosaics, landscapes, murals, selfies, supernatural beings, or obnoxious ads on them.

Sabre,

I looked up some photos. Yah that clip is kind of like the Gerber in my photo (clip is long; so long it goes past the screw and has a screw access hole punched in it).
The handle looks plastic but it says they are aluminum.
Why do they suck, just out of curiosity ?

The main problem I have with the knife is that the aluminum scales don't offer a decent grip when wet. If Boker ever offers that knife with G10 or FRN scales, I will buy it in a heartbeat.

Oddly...the best I have ever used/seen is on an inexpensive knife. Buck Vantage. It is DEEP yet smooth. Discreet with fast access.

I like the regular wire clip that Spyderco puts on it's LW Manix models (which is different than the deep-carry, loop-over style they use on the Sage models, btw):

Deep carry the s pretty much my standard for a clip. Tension I can usually adjust. Here's my dragonfly with aftermarket deep carry clip.

I am a big fan of Emerson, Strider and Microtechs clips. The Anax does not have a bad clip either very similar to the Begg pocket clips and does not really slip or move around and is very easy to slide into your pocket.

Yah . . . the tip slants diagonal to the side of the knife too. It seems most clips the tip is raised but then runs parallel with the side of the knife making the hook up with the pocket a little less quick and easy. I have thought of bending mine out but figured they would end up raking the back of my hand when putting my hand in my pocket.
