The Ulster swayback was heavily cleaned, but the rest of 'em retain most, if not all, of their original factory finish.

I love that old bone; it's amazingly translucent, yet dark and full of color at the same time. The newer stuff just doesn't seem to have that translucent appearance for some reason. Maybe it takes time, wear and pocket aging.

As wonderful as all the others are, this Ulster swayback really gets me -- such a sweet knife. Shame about it getting cleaned, but even so, its quality comes thru.

Thanks. I fell in love with it from the purveyor images which it turned out do little justice to the knife. It is as clean a piece as I own in terms of overall workmanship, fit and finish.
