And why these knives have souls....

Yee Gods Absintheur, that shadow bone butterbean is just AWESOME!! I don't think I ever saw one without bolsters--it just sets it off. It's my vote for the whole thread.

Adding one more to the pile...I know how many feel about the Rough Riders and I know many like them as well...I have always thought them great buys for the money but this scrimmed white bone boat knife is just a lovely piece of work...

Finally had some sun here in the cold midwest, so decided to take a few pics of my favorite factory bone, the Queen amber carved stag bone.

One in the full sunlight--dig that glowing amber!

.. I have to comment on how much I really like this BONE Thread here..

.. I just went through this entire thread here, post by post and was quite taken by the gorgeous bone submitted by many!.

..But severely disappointed NOT to find two categories of BONE that should have been represented in here by someone, anyone, a self-respecting slip joint enthusiast with vintage BONE that are/or/should be familiar with. .. HELLO!..
.. OK, to help y'all out, Here is a sample..

Vintage Rogers Bone..

Nice winterbottom Anthony! You got me going through the thread also!!
Here is some nice, recent GEC bone! Same pic I used for the forum knife poll. I'm really impressed with this stuff!! Not my knife, but thanks for the picture!

Schrade handled some knives in this nice Redbone, just before they went to Delrin in the early 1960s or so. They shoulda stuck with bone like this!

Greg

Where'd you find that and do you think there are more? Dad and GrandDad both retired from Firestone here in Akron before it closed down. Shoot, I live in Firestone Park and I'm three streets down from Firestone Blvd.

There were only a few of 'em made Chewy and they don't come around very often. They do come around tho. Just keep a eye out and eventually you'll find one.
