David, very nice! I can't see the logo, but I'd say it looks like a "Halfmoon" vintage six, am I right?

For those that have trouble seeing David's pictuire, cut and paste the following address:

Don, you Bastid! :D Top to bottom "The perfect CQC6", Ti bladed Double logo six and a 50/50 serrated. :) You suck!

Hilton, Ewwww and a Black G10 "no date" . . . . Sweeeeet!

Bob and Joel, again, very nice! :D

Finally, a vintage one, some things only get better with age  :D. Can anyone recommend a decent digital camera for less than what a 5 or 6 originally went for? Thanks.

RARanney, The Digicam I used at the 2000 Blade Show is only a 1.3 megapixel camera, but it works pretty damn well. Cut and paste the following address for examples:

It's a Panasonic PV-SD4090. While I paid like $750 when it first came out, two friends have recently been able to get the same model cameras for like $250 (while current retail is $600, they have a $100 rebate if you buy new). One was off Ebay and the other was factory reconditioned. Both were like new.

There are a bunch of damn good cameras and camera deals out there. Shop around. :D

poo i want one too.. :( if I get one it wil break two very basic laws of my universe.. my most expensive knife will NOT be a balisong and moreover it wil be a folding tanto.. I am sure doign so will break some universal law of nature and a black hole will swallow me up..

oh well *whistles as I head to ebay in search for a 6, an 8 or a viper 4 or something* (feels out of place)..

John,
I'll be more than happy to show you my "leftie" that is when I get it
it'll be 4 yrs this thanksgiving, I can feel Ernie working on it now :D

Cool thread. I had a 2000 CQC-6 but sold it awhile back. Hate I got rid of it. Here it is with my pre-date 6 (glad I kept that one!):

I'll try to post another pic later.

JOHN,

Yup, good eye. It's a Halfmoon 6. It's my favorite. The blade is a little shorter then the newer 6's. There's actually a slight belly to the edge compared to the the straight edge of the newer 6's.

A question.... I've gotten more interested in a 6.. and now I was wondering.. how big is the 6 actually? I mean I know the blade spes and oal in my records and all but I was wondering about the size in general.. I usually carry a MT LCC and I was REAL surprised art how "small" the custom LCC or the suppresor was.

Mr. Pirela's link next to a P7 is a pretty good reference but i was wondering if anyone has some input.

Sniperboy,

I too was surprised by the size of Greg's custom LCC. I quickly figured out what the middle "C" in "LCC" was. :D

The size of the CQC6 is comparable to the production CQC7B. It should be noted that the six is thicker and that the bolsters and scales of the custom CQC6 and CQC7 are rounded (and thicker) as opposed to the flat scales of the production CQC7Bs.
