Good picture usage. All I have on hand is a "Seven and Seven".

Blue Ti-Liners

Hey Bob:

I can't remember now, but did you say those blue Ti-Liners were from the EKI Custom Shop or special order from another customizer?

In any case, very cool! (on a 'waved' 7 no less!)

thank you so much for your help - I REALLY apprecaite this. I have to makea confession I havent handled a cqc7 much :p.. i can surely find one in a shop or a friend though.

one step loser to being totally helpless.. I'm scared :)

Susan,
The handles on the Emerson CQC6 and the Microtech LCC/DA are almost identical in length, with more curve to the Lightfoot, as opposed to the straighter 6. Even the bolster/micarta or carbon fibre ratio is about the same. The LCC/DA handle is slightly wider, and thicker than the 6. The LCC/DA blade is wider (1/4"+) at the base, and about 3/8" longer than the 6. The larger blade gives the impression of a larger knife, even though the dimensional differences aren't that great. The most notable difference is in the weight/feel of the two knives. The LCC/DA feels, and is, about 50% heavier than the 6. On a somewhat aged spring scale, I had 6 ounces on the LCC/DA and 4 ounces on the 6. The 6 feels lighter and quicker in the hand as one might expect. I'm not certain if the manual LCC weighs appreciably less than the DA. For the record, the CQC5 came in at about 3 ounces. It goes without saying that both the Microtech and the Emerson are superbly crafted knives, but if I could keep only one of the two, well, even factoring in the price difference and my fondness of "autos", it's no contest. Round up the Usual Suspects.

OK, my turn.

First is one of my two CQC6's. This is the one I carry all the time and gets used well. The other I keep unused.

This one is my CQC6 custom. Now all of you sit down and take a deep breath before reading further, because I carry and use this one as well ! :D

Yes, I may be mad, but I'm happy and mad !

And that, in the end, is the true value of it. The way it makes you feel, that matters the most.

Bravo. :)

That 6 on EBay HCLeo reported earlier just sold for 1136.00, A good price yes?

I was expecting the usual sniping dual and a much higher price at the end, but 1100.00...."Honest honey it's for work!" oh well, next time.

Just a newbie question but how much are these things going for in the real world? I was thinking they were 1500.00 or so.

I gave it one last valiant snipe :p but I guess my heart wasn't in it.. I mus be getting old and less fiery and irresponsible. At any rate I think the market tops these off at 1300.00...

Hey Markus:

That's a great grab...:D

Thanks for sharing the pic- I hope you enjoy your knife for a long time! CONGRATULATIONS!
