Show me your homemade friction folders, as the title says.

I know I will get pictures of some really sweet friction folders from some real craftsmen and that's great. I want to see is some quick and dirty homemade things too.

The first pic is some ones I've made lately. I'm a machinist and I wanted to come up with a program to simply drill some 1/8" holes and cut a shape (letting it drop out) and pin or screw them together to have a quicky friction folder. The blades are just kitchen knives.

The second pic is of some ones I made years ago. Sawcut a slot in some aluminum and used knife files for the blades. These folders had a lot of hand work filing the slot in just right.

I ground the back of the knife file blades hot, turning just the spine blue to soften it leaving the edge hard. I really like these as the edge is still harder than woodpecker lips. If they were easier to carry I would make and carry just them as an edge that hard will spoil you.

I wanna see pics of anything anyone has cobbled together that could be called a friction folder, good, bad, and ugly.
