I've drooling over Andy's Hunter model these last few months...that handle looks crazy comfortable and the overall design just sings to me. :D So I've been working myself up to selling off a few knives to fund this one, but I'd like to see some Hunter porn to help me get there.

Any comparison pics to a Bravo-1, Gunny, RC4, RC3, or Mora 510/Clipper would be appreciated as well.

ETA: Forgot to mention that I have seen your vid review, Spooky, but I like looking at static pics as well...helps me visualize at my own pace. :) If you still have a Bravo-1 and have a bit of spare time, you think you could take a pic or two of the Hunter, Bravo, and 510 together? I know your handles are thicker than the norm, but it'll still help :).

The Hunter is a really sweet model. Mtnfolk Mike always wanted a wider bushcrafting blade, and Spooky needed something that could have a large handle. Here she is.

I believe this was the first Hunter Andy ever made...

Considering that this was my second Fiddleback and I've purchased 5 more since, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Can anyone provide a spine shot of the Hunter next to a RC4, Fallkniven F1, BRKT Gunny/Bravo-1, or Mora 510/Clipper? I just want to get a visual sense of the thickness.

This immediately became my favorite knife!

Andy, when I grow up, I wanna be just like you.

Awesome, thanks for the addition, Schmittie

I decided to stick with this model instead of switching to the Bushfinger...I hope I made the right choice!

How are you liking the handle Schmittie?

Russell, it's a Fiddleback bro, I think you'll be really happy with it :)

The handle is very nice indeed! Honestly, at first I was surprised at how thin the handle was. I'm not sure why, but I was expecting something thicker that would fill my hand. For a few minutes I really just wondered if I was going to like it as much as I'd hoped.

But after using it, it doesn't really seem deficient. My expectations were off. The handle leaves no hot spots and is great in multiple grips. I'm very happy with it! It's a great all around knife. I'd say its good and hefty but not heavy. And I'm not afraid to baton occasionally with it either. Andy sure made one heck of a knife!

Fiddleback Rules!!

Now if only I can get my hands on a Ladyfinger.......

The Hunter looks like my kind of knife. I've been watching for one on the for sale forum. The handles look both comfortable and the wood combinations beautiful. Andy's style is definitely unique.

Check this one out. Stabalized Walnut crotch over East Indian Rosewood with natural micarta liner, pins and bullseye filler.

That Hunter is a real beauty!:thumbup:

Schmittie, thanks for sharing your experience  I'm really looking forward to mine :)

Brian, I know man, I've had my eye on a Fiddleback for about a year now :D Bushfinger is still #2 on the list!

You should have been at Blade and got to experience the real dilemma in choosing :)

When Andy described the Bushfinger I fell in love with the thought, and then when he posted pics it was love at first sight. Now it seems I am developing an addiction....
