Why the lack of the bullseye on those two?

The latter is on its way to me in the mail, as we speak! :D

That was before they were standard. Let me know how she looks. That one was a beauty.

Cool. I think the bullseye is a great branding mark. I was a wee disappointed that the one I have coming didn't have it, but I'll probably live. :D

There will be usage pics as soon as it gets here! It does look amazing.

The KPH's look to be a superb refinement. I think you and Andy hit a home-run with those

Uh, no.

I sent him a rock and he made a sculpture. Andy did it.

I offer a free clean up and re-mark service. You pay shipping home. If there is enough meat to the handle, and the tube is positioned correctly I can add the innards to a bullseye tube for $25.

I'm thinking that, like any manufacturer of goods...be they one-off, limited production, or even factory produced, there HAS to be a return on investment of time, materials, opportunity cost for the effort to validate itself.

The bolsters were time-consuming and demanding, and the swedge was a fine hand-held grind that could not be made with a jig.

Were knife-making and vending a hobby, maybe the bolstered, swedged KPH might be played with as an expert's investigation into materials and techniques. For a person who is supporting a family, home, and trying to accomodate the best combination of efficiency, artistry, innovation and market demand with his knife-making, such a demanding focus on one particular, low-volume model is not only counter-productive, but self-defeating.

I love what I have, but I realize I got very lucky.

Oops wrong place :o

Was quoting for a pm and posted...like the sleepy idiot I feel like :)

I'm getting too old for pulling all-niters :D

Here is the Hunter and Bravo 1 comparison. Hope it's not to late, I had to wait for my hunter to come show up. Sorry for the pics, iPhone is the best I had today.

Yes! Thank You forgedblades!:thumbup::thumbup: Those pictures are perfect! Now I have an even better idea of what it should feel like.

I'm absolutely stoked for mine, I think it'll be a real pleasure to work with, especially with that handle. I foresee good times ahead :D

Who made your favorite hunter?
