Its 23 inches over all with a 15 and a half inch blade, it basically 2 handed when you need it. Its a third of an inch thick with a tapered tang down to a quarter inch or so for help with balance. The blade is 3 inches wide and it weighs just under 4lbs. Its made of 5160 im told and its a very tough and easy to sharpen knife

Khukuri House makes them based off a design by Frank Gonzales. I love mine, nothing really that can stand up to it, if it doesnt cut thru it, itll smash thru it by sheer weight. Plus they will gladly customize it for you, somone on here got a like 5 inch longer bladed one and mine has wood instead of buffalo horn handles.

My Fallen Oak Forge "Spartan". I hadn't had much experience with 5160 before this, so to say I was incredibly impressed with it and his differential heat treating would be an understatement.

That Spartan looks amazing! What kinda coin for that guy if you don't mind me asking?

And is the pommel set up to pry with?

That looks really useful.

It could be used to pry, but is more set up as a blunt striker. Cost was just a little over $500. There's also a kydex sheath that was included. He hand makes everything on the blade and I have full intentions to buy many more from him. He makes them truly custom so you can have his designs with about any material or color you want, or you can have him make a one off of his own or your design. Most of his smaller blades are significantly cheaper, but he also has some swords and many other choppers. Look up Fallen Oak Forge if you have facebook. He has a ton of wicked and practical designs, all made to be used.

What's the model on the green handled one? Very cool.

Condor Bushcraft Parang. It's a new model, just came out within the last couple months. Sheath is awful but the tool is good. Get it from 42blades and spring for the special grade. AZWelke makes kydex for it. Preparedmind101 on youtube has a review of both the parang and the AZWelke kydex sheath.

Express. I don't know for sure on the blade length. I bought it used in rough shape. That's why I chose the picture with the Griptilian. Ill measure it

Very cool--and 18" Express was my first machete back in my early teens. Got it at Home Depot and it was the only one they had, tucked away under the long-handled tools display. They had a million crappy pleather sheaths, though! :D I've heard that the Express machetes were made by Incolma/Gavilan/Invermec. The only machetes I've seen that are simultaneously injection molded poly AND riveted! :p

Good thread.
Break out the seasoned rock maple and the dry bamboo...
