Hey redsquid,

Not a necker per se, but being a weight concious backpacker as well, here's what I came up with. 3.1oz CPM D2 8" knife. Total package weigh 5.8oz (knife, sheath, firesteel, tek-lok). I wanted a light, tough, and comfortable handle. The tang is skeletonized and the micarta slabs are hollowed out.
