The title is very demanding, and so am I. Now (please) show me your pocket slips if you have any. It doesn't matter if you've purchased it or made it yourself.

Soft thick leather from an old motorcycle jacket. Shown with one of my all-time favs, the 92 Eureka Jack. Certain knives that I prefer to keep more pristine I carry in this soft slip. Others like the #06, 55 or my TC Barlow are just carried in my pocket without slip.

Here are a couple I whipped up to keep the pretties pretty. :D

I'm envious of the great pocket leather you folks are able to pick up. For some reason, it's hard to get hold of pocket slips here, and even the range of belt pouches is comparatively limited. Fortunately ScruffUK stepped in to make me this one :)

I'm interested in the idea of a pocket slip . It's something that I've not really seen before .
I've just started making belt folder sheaths and this thread has given me a few ideas .
If you could list your favourite features and desired attributes of a pocet slip , what would they be ?
Size , shape , thickness I'd really appreciate it ,and anything else you may have an opinion on , it might shortcut my design process .

Thanks

Ken

Nice that one for the Northfolk! I could do with one... Looks supple and the right size, the factory issue one is too stiff and large for a small knife in my view. Softer thinner leathers work well for small to medium knives.

Regards, Will

Here's a few that I've made. I don't have any of them anymore, and I keep thinking I should make some new ones.

The slip on the left has a dark spot at the bottom. That happened today when I forgot that I had a chocolate in my pocket. It melted. Knife was unscathed.:D

You can see my nephew's teeth imprints on the one on the right. Memories....

I've never used one on a pocket knife. Fixed blade knives I've sheathed on a belt but never in a slip in the pocket.

I'm sure chocolate is good for leather. :p

Pretty easy to make if you use thin leather. This one keeps the knife sitting vertical if you put the knot up just above the edge of your pocket.
