Show me your pocket slips!

Pretty easy to make if you use thin leather.

I'm a little disappointed in myself for not making one yet. I keep meaning to then flake out. The ones KSF make are awfully nice though.

I started using them when I got my first hundred dollar knife. Tobacco in my pockets is a frequent occurrence and my knives were always gummed up with it. The slip prevents that for the most part. I had also lost a few knives from, I'm assuming, pocket fallout. Since I started using a slip that hasn't happened. BUT I almost always have my Case medium stockman in pocket and that rides free n dirty.

Here is one I have made lately to carry my more valuable knives. This leather is not easy to work with as it is very hard, but just love this material. I had made couple more in the past but gave them away to friends.

That's a cool one.

I'm using this right now. My grandma made it.

What are those blisters?

I made a couple prototypes, to try different knives in different pockets. So far, I'm liking this RR Canoe pattern, in the right hand style,

in my back pocket. It tends to catch on the inside seam at the top of the pocket, so I can just pull out the knife. I will make a nicer

one soon.

Welcome to Blade forums haburn. Great sheath. Is the tree done with a wood burning tool? Beautiful work.

Best regards

Robin

Thanks, it's sort of a burning tool. I have a laser engraver that comes in pretty handy when working with leather.

That sheath is awesome. I'm starting the process of teaching myself leather sheath making. Figure if I'm gonna make knives I better know how to make a sheath for them.

Anyway, here are some more of my slips:

The pocket sheath on the bottom came with the 1970 Elsener soldier knife, and is the reason I made a similar pocket sheath for my diamond jack.
