I would like to see pics of some Case CV knives that get used on a regular basis. I don't have many Case knives (that I use often) yet, but I do have a medium stockman in CV on the way from SMKW. Here is a pic of a CV Paenut that is only a couple months old. (Sorry for the bad picture taking skills)

In my pocket everyday. The main blade is almost black now, I really should get some newer pics of it. Small Texas Jack - CV - Amber Bone:

Amber Bone is a really nice scale choice:thumbup:

Get's even better after a couple of visits to the Mineral Oil Bath-house:D

I have bought 4 CV's since the first of the year red bone moose, amber bone stockman, and then they finally:D release my favorite pattern of all MUSKRAT so I ordered 2 they are "mini" 3 5/8 OAL 2 1/2 blade redbone. :thumbup:Original is 3 7/8 that would be my all time fav. size, the moose was just too big IMO for EDC front pocket. THe blades on the rat are starting to turn. bad pics but you get the drift.

I wanted to share a photo of my Case sodbuster jr. that I've been carrying and using a lot for the last few weeks. Only problem is that it still looked so shiny that it didn't really look like a user.

So I decided to go the quick patina route to put a bit of "age" on the blade.

I used the "traditional" warm vinegar bath, which takes about 10 minutes and leaves my soddie smelling like a good dill pickle.

Now I'm ready to show it: ;)

I have a Case medium yeller CV stockman with a lovely patina.

BUT...
Does CV have a strong smell?
Out of all my carbon blades, including my old carbon kitchen knives, only the CV seems to have a strong metallic smell and taste to it.

What can I do about it?

No CV yet, but I have to share. Mainly the Peanut finds its way into my pocket. I apologize for the picture quality, a new camera is in the near future.

Here's my Case Trapper in red bone. Sorry for the crappy pics, the patina doesn't show up that well.
