First off, I'm new here, let me say Hello to everyone.

Maybe I'm strange, but I have a stupid rule that I will carry and use every knife I buy. I generally don't fancy safe queens or knives with pristine finishes. I love the look of knives that have been used (higher end stuff especially). To me these thoroughly loved blades have history, experience, and usually come with a story behind the scratches and smudges. I'm not talking about beat or abused knives with chips in the blade or bent lockbars, but ones that have been used over time and have still been maintained and cared for.

Anyone else have the same fascination??

And please, post some pics of what you have.. Thanks :)

This is probably my most used knife. Coating's pretty worn, burn marks on the frn from falling in a fire pit... still centered with a solid lockup and great action.

Some of my fixed blade users. Nothing really hard core, used mostly for wood work of some sort. My folders generally only see light duty edc, so I didn't include any of those.

Benchmade #520 Presidio. I just sold this one. For all the wear & tear, it's one of the smoothest opening knives I've owned.

Spyderco Manix II with custom Grimsmo scales. This photo is from 2+ years ago; it looks even more beat up now:

Two first-generation Spyderco Enduras. Both are beat up and abused (not by me), but both still cut pretty well.

Two old Traditional knives, and old Remington and an old Robeson. Both still have at least one good blade that still slices paper with almost no resistance.

Buck 119, old & well-used, so I mod'd it into a camp/outsdoors knife. It's pictured next to a newer Buck #119BR (brass fittings & stabilized wood handle mat'l.)

Kabar #1217C/U and Camillus-made Becker BK-7. Both are in more worn shape now.
