It's nice to know the Buck 110 is liked so far away from Idaho !!!!
I can see the pics now. Beautiful photos - Great job. How is the thumb stud attached to the spine? Is it pinned?
Very Nice modification you have done.

Yes, I want the FANS of BUCK110 in the world on each country.
Many friends are BUCK110 FANS, to me, some of them collected including all DATACODE BUCK110 to some collection includes almost all production of different materials blade BUCK110., Etc.!

By the way, there are now no one can see my pictures? I've been with the gallery!

Welcome. It looks like half as much bar would have been sufficient for that thumb stud to work. DM

The pictures are great. I thought the clip I saw had small set screws to hold it to the blade. How does the one you have hold to the blade? And welcome to the forum.

Great photographs of an interesting thumb opener. Is it made of brass? Thank you for sharing yangqiang.

Can you post utube of how the thumb opener is attached to the blade and/or you opening the knife with your one hand technique? Homework :)

Do you carry the 110 on your person every day and how do you carry it, sheath or pocket? Or do you keep it inside your home?

These gnarly thumb studs from Leroy were never used by me. I don't like to put my thumb in harm's way when actuating the blade.

I've been a proponent of the Kwik-thumbs/Bars since I first tried one about a year ago. I've also been, fascinated by peoples DIY solutions as well.

Oregon, the picture you have has set screws, I cannot see any in the pictures that Yangqiang sent.

Yes. OK. The lack of set screw(s) has me curious as to how the thumb bar is attached. I suppose by crimp/force. Perhaps the OP will give us some more details or send us some of his thumb bars with instructions.

Yangqiang would you please send us some of your thumb bars that you use to open the blade on your 110? If you turn on your email I can explain why and how doing this would benefit you. Or, please email me. You can find my email address by clicking on my name in the upper left hand corner of my post. Thank you.

That is what I thought, some sort of compression. Sure do need more info. Great looking picture taking.

Thank you Ed for the kind words.

Only Nixon could have gone to China. I wish that he had returned with some of those, apparently screw-less, thumb bars.

Perhaps these thumb bars are as long as they are in order to have maximum compression-fit-grip plus thumb purchase surface area without interfering with deep cuts by hitting the target material as the blade slices through it. A shorter press-fit thumb bar could pop off more easily, perhaps. Just speculating on a hypothesis. Good observation DM and, as usual, you set me to thinking (yes, it does hurt) as usual you clever fellow you. The color of the brass, if it is indeed brass, looks correct. I have a collection of Shilin Cutters from China and their brass is reddish, slightly less golden than that in the USA, so it looks like brass to me.

Thank you, I will try to finish this homework.;)

It's made by brass,I hope it looks like the handle material, which is more harmonization.Similarly, in renewable paper handle BUCK 110, I dyed cow bone chip.

Yes,I so love it ,I carry it every day by a nylon sheath cross strings in the lower back at the belt hung, and never remove the.
I generally do not store at home.In addition to this used one, The other lot I locked them in the office.

Most of the time I use both hands to open the blade,This attachments just for the convenience of the other hand did not empty when used.
