I'm not even in the same league as Hogs like Jaxx and Eric. I would have to win the Powerball to compete with those guys:)

Are the LE's skinny (.22) satin with magnum canvas? Was that combo exclusive to the LE or could that combo be found on others? How does your pinky finger hold up with that rear talon hole area? Sorry to get off topic, just looking for answers before I hand over $500+ for an LE I might not like.

Chris.

Just Mic'd my ASH-1 LE and it is .220. One of my Skinny ASH's mic'd at .20, and the ASH-1 CG is .32. All ASH-1 LE's have Tiger Hide Micarta. Micarta has been an option for a long time, however Tiger Hide micarta was the standard on LE's until a few years ago when they started offering handle options on the LE's. Most ASH models have magnum handles, although you will occasionally see one with standard thickness handles. I find the Magnum handles more comfortable on the ASH-1.

CPC,
IIRC, The LE, HOG and Skinny ASH all came with magnum handle slabs standard. The CG probably and the '07 LE may have had the option of magnum slabs for an additional charge. As for "Busse pinky", while the straight handle design gives a secure grip, the rear talon protrusion did/can bother some folks who used their knives for extended periods or simply have very large hands. The search for a more comfortable while still secure handle style led Jerry to develop the ERGO and then FUSION styles for Steel Hearts, TAC for the Badger Attacks and Satin Jacks, Special Forces for the Natural Outlaw and Hell Razor, EDC for the Active Duty and Meaner Street and others hopefully better suited for the knive's size, shape and intended use range.
Pete

Post Script: Some times, I think that JAXX and a few other UBER HOGS could outfit a division or two with their collections if they could only get themselves to part with some of their beloved blades.

In my group pic on the red background the "sandstorm" ASH, 2nd from top, is .220 (just a tad thicker actually). My guess is some of the LE blanks were not going to polish up as LEs and ended up as CGs. I would LOVE another of these..!!

Chris, If you're not happy with the LE, I'll take it off your hadns for half of what you pay. ;)
