I was just poking around looking at flasks and found that thread, which is on a motorcycle "adventurer's" forum. There are some interesting flasks in it, such as...

A Dalvey with a collapsible cup.

A flask like 762 shooter's.

I have a stainless steel flask , like several pictured here. It gives whiskey a metallic taste. I quit using it.

eFlasks has quite a selection. They have the Jerry can and the round one with the cup. They also have this one, which is cool and practical.

Bourbon is a whiskey. There are many types of whiskey... Scotch whiskey, Sour Mash whiskey, blended whiskey, Irish whiskey, Rye whiskey, Bourbon whiskey etc...

Right now you can get the holiday gift set with a bottle of Jim Beam Black with a nice Stainless, black leather wrapped flask. Saw them in BevMo and the drug store CVS. Same proce as just the normal bottle (18- 20 bucks)!

Truly minimalist and logical. But one puncture, and you have to explain to your hiking mates why you're sucking on your spare underwear.
