My Patton Bowie isn't shown and I just received my "polished" 12" Ontario machete with convex grind (complements to Justin of Ranger Knives).

Thats sweet shecky, what was the original machete before the grinder?

They're both the same model, a Tramontina Bolo, the older is original size, the newer one cut down from the handle end. I was originally going to make up some DIY micarta for a handle, but the wooden handle survived being removed, so I reused it.

I got this at a flea market for 5 bucks
It's my 1st EVER machete!!
I can't find any info on Waylett Made in Sheffield

Here's an old machete I found in the woods near my house (way back before the woods got turned into subdivisions!), this is going back many years. It's one hell of a beater, warped all to hell, rusted beyond belief, barely sharp at all and ugly as sin. It keeps the neighbor kids off the propery though! :D

No idea as to it's make or origin. It was just there off the trail, waiting to be claimed.

I'm pretty ruff on machetes (apparently) I've broke a ontario, and bent a coldsteel. The ontario was my favorite before it broke, they sent a replacement but tramontina has become my favorite, tough low priced just simply a good tool!

Okay
Ill play :)

this is an old pic , needs updating some but its got most of them here anyway

Nice collection ROCK6. How do you like the Fehrman??

I decided on Fehman's Extreme Judgement. I love 3V, but I think it's a little light for heavy chopping. On softer vegetation it rocks! For hard wood it just doesn't seem to have the mass or profile to chop well.

ROCK6, what's the second knife from the top in the second picture? It's dead sexy.

That's Bark River's Evolution-1. They made a run and Mike said he probably wouldn't do another due to the harzards in convex sharpening it:( It's a great blade that balances well and chops betting than bigger blades...and yes it does look pretty sexy:D

Hey Myal, what's the 4th chopper from the left...first one after the axes? I like the sweep on that blade.

by lack of zombies the chair had to suffer

but zombies or no zombies, i still want kukris
gonna buy some, i kinda wonder how their odd shape feels actually

the cs kukri style machete is probably the easiest kukri for me to buy, but i dont really think it can pass as a kukri

My Harbor Fright special. It's the new style with the rubber grip. Very comfy

its an early forging effort , messing around with forging bevels and heat treat , it turned out to be a seriously good chopper , I prefer it to a hatchet .

This is my only one. A Martindale Crocodile 1945 ,I found at a thrift store. I must not know how to sharpen it correctly because it labors real hard just to hack down a one inch diameter locust tree,

Has anybody got one of these? Came real close to pulling the trigger.. but my wife went crazy and bought me a couple of knives for Valentine's Day, so didn't do it.. Looks nice to me though!

Nice, buts its no smatchet.:D
I think the forward weight bias would make this thing an incredibly fun to use chopper. Takes a little more energy to get a swing going, but momentum takes over!
