Rinos, how do you like those Svords? I've thought many a time about buying one.

handmade,great steel,simple construction... i love them
they arrive with pretty raw edge, but that can be easily fixed, and you have excellent working knife.

Received this one back April in a trade plus cash deal with a forum member. It was made on what would have been my grandfather's 99th birthday, February 4, 2011.

My most recent single blade acquisition was purchased one month ago today from another forum member. It was manufactured in 1998.

This is the one that kickstarted my interest in traditional knives, beyond just having a useful pocket knife. I joined the forum back in January in order to buy this knife, and have learned so much in the six months since. It was made in October 2011.

Now this is a thread I can relate to.
Like the OP, I find myself more and more attracted to the thinness and simplicity of single blade's these days.
Actually to the point that I seldom reach for, and never buy, a multiple blade knife any more
I'm no where near as serious of a collector as most on here are, but here's my humble heard.
1) Case 31048 SS
2) CSC Half Moon Trapper
3) NW Indian River Jack (my favorite)
4) GEC 25 (see's 90% of my edc use)
5) Schrade 03 with pen blade/second backspring removed and stag scales added.

Here's a pic of my GEC #48 slimline tidoute trapper in tractor red. The patina isn't to grand however.

My current favorite single...I think the sheepsfoot was a very interesting, and practical choice on this little #25...

Thanks
I wasn't crazy about the "Orange" scales at first but I've learned to like em and the spring's actually to strong (to the point of being dangerous on closing) but again, I've gotten used to it.
All that aside, it's still managed to work it's way into the staring role in my line up.
In case ya missed it, here's a repost of my favorite pic of it.

Thanks. When I saw the Lloyd I knew I wanted it. Fortunately it was a few weeks before my 50th birthday, so my wife and son agreed to give it to me for that occasion. It is really too large for me to carry daily, but I do enjoy its beauty and craftsmanship.

Following Charlie's lead, here are a couple more pics of the Lloyd.
