While posting in another thread I got to thinking about my main EDC knife. It is a BM 710 that I have had for going on 7 years. I fell in love with the Bradley Alias knives and ended up with both the small and large versions. I EDC the Alias I for a while, but never took it out with the intentions doing hard work. If something came up I would use it for that task, and it held up well but there was a part of me that make sure not to take it to the point some might say abuse.
The BM 710 on the other hand is another story. Just off hand I remeber getting stuck in the wood and using the knife to cut small pine trees down to put inder the tires for traction. The 710 has been on every camping trip in those 7 years. The first camping trip is what got me over the cosmetics of the knife. After two weeks in my waist band getting sweat on the blade 12 hours a day pitted the D2 steel. I brought it home and went to town with the sander and convexed the blade removing most pits. Some were deeper than most, but they now add to her beauty. This is still my go to knife and hope it hold up for another 7 more.
If you have an EDC you have carried for some time, please post some pictures and show these faithfull friend some love.
