I just want to add that my wustoff went into hiding when this one entered the drawer as you can see my knife drawer is rapidly becoming my DM drawer!

They are actually a set of KAI knives that I bought years ago as my wife likes whimsical things, and they turned out to be some darn good budget kitchen knives that rarely need sharpening.

Another banger arrived today via a participation based giveaway. This EDC1 model by David Mary is absolutely stellar. Fit and finish are top notch and my photos definitely don't do it justice!

They are actually a set of KAI knives that I bought years ago as my wife likes whimsical things, and they turned out to be some darn good budget kitchen knives that rarely need sharpening.

I'm just messing I know if it makes it's way into "the drawer" it's already passed the sniff test.

I have a victorinox paring knife decoy that I've earned a lot of respect for considering the negligent abuse it's withstood There's a little bit of magic going on any time a value blade exceeds expectations.

Thanks for the kind words norcalAF . The EDC Universal 1 is a fun one because, like a few of my models, the blank starts off with a squared off blade shape and customers can have me make any blade shape they want on it. The blade shape above was just what I selected for the giveaway knife, but I have made them now in both clip points, and hunter style with straight spines and broad bellied tip as well. Although I am out of them in MagnaCut, I just got a few back from Jarod Todd heat treating in AEB-L that I am eager to create something new with when time permits.
