SHOW TIME: Displaying our collection for the Buck Collectors

natural curiousity.....Sir, how many folks do y'all see at these type shows? collectors or interested in buck knife folks? thank you.

jb, a good question. On a Saturday at this show I tend to see and talk with, 2-3 collector / accumulator type persons and 4-5 Buck knife users. And Sunday is about the same.
So, about 1-2 per hour. Traffic density has a play. Such as in the past 2 years we have seen a shortage in primers, powder and ammo. The show patrons were very focused. The show would be heavily attended but very focused toward those products. In this grouping will be one big name guy who either knew Chuck Buck or had a contract with Buck and would see one of their employees once a month or ever other month. To have someone of this caliber drop by is a big plus. I usually see someone like this every other show. DM

Here are some of our long time friends who usually attend these shows looking for ammo or reloading supplies. They will always drop by our table for a visit. DM

Here we are loaded and ready to head home. We'll make a stop to have supper with everyone and point our billy goat west. Another show penned in my jornal. DM

thank you Sir.

i enjoyed the show through your pics and posts. safe trip home.

We made it home well after dark but safely. So, this morning I'll unload and pack my display away. We had a great time. DM

Over already? That came and went quick. Good times seem to go fast when your having fun. At least good memories and pictures remain. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

On a side note, I went to a historical arms show this weekend and they had everything you can imagine military to civilian, guns, knives, you name it. I walked out with a Buck 110 and sheath that appears to be made 1967-72 as it has BUCK and USA on two lines and no dots. The steel would be 440C I believe. It's used but still in pretty nice shape. And another Buck 110 Finger Groove model and sheath from 1990 (X) that I believe is 425M steel. This one had the tip broken off and was reshaped. That's annoying to me but I don't want to replace the blade. It's tempting though. Both came to $35 and the second one needs pretty much love, perhaps a spa treatment for both.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It looks like you have a very nice collection there.
I'm also glad that you made it home from the trip safely.

John

Buck Shack, thank you. You're correct on the steel of your new knives. A good find and they are in good shape at a great price. Glad you happened along.
Soldier, thank you. Yes, a great blessing to be back home in one piece. Thanks for these encouraging words. A great bunch of collectors here. DM
