We will be displaying our collection in Las Cruces for the Collectors this weekend and hoping for a good turn out.
A great time to be here in the cool mountain air of Fall. We'll take more photos as time permits.
Thanks, DM

Making sure we had everything packed.
Made it here safe and setting up before Security visited us. (which means asking us to leave so they can lock the building). With all the recent news items, security is tight and we didn't even have any guns. Everyone knows not to make any off remark when entering those back doors.
We saw many of our old friends while setting up. That's always good. We opted Not to bring our dog because the puppy needed company back
at home. Shucks. Were at 10 years of doing these shows and have enjoyed every one of them. Our display is made up of Buck's early factory knives. fixed blades 100 series, 110's, 112's, 500 series, 111 Classics, Akouna, Kalinga, Empress Trio model 200, model 205 Windsor steak knives set, 307, 317, 305, 206 axe, 700 series and many of Buck's first stones, sharpening guides and honing steel. I'll try to take time for pictures. But
as some know, it can get busy. Thanks Jess for the help with photos. DM

Always enjoy your show pics. One of these days I may surprise u with a drop in! What 317's are u showing? Hey next time if you ever want to show the 317 with your wife's work on it for an advertisement type thing I be happy to loan it to you.

gsea, thanks. It's a 3 line. I'll get you a picture. That model has much that I like in a knife with a lanyard hole. You come and I'll buy you a barbecue sandwich. DM

yes Sir. my pleasure to help out on the pics. looks like hard work and a good time all rolled together. really enjoy your shows. looking forward to more pics and stories of the event.

Some pictures coming up. We talked to many patrons today explaining items all over the map to Buck customers. Some wanted to know about their model, age and such. Others wanted to know about sending a knife in to Buck for repair and getting another model like they have. Many wanted one sharpened. All were mannerly and positive just enjoying the show. DM

The 317 photo was for gsea.
Then 2 life members, Tom & Hugh dropped by for a visit. It was fun talking with these guys. DM

Skyhorse, the enjoyment was ours. I carry a 305 in my watch pocket that Sky had gifted me in 2011. One year when we had some good
snows he offered to bring me a load of wood. Great guy. It looks to be a fine day with the sun peeking over the mountains and all it will bring. Thanks, DM

Gun sales are steady. I found some 2 dot and no dot 110's. Plus, some swivel sheath 124's and a Kalinga in it's original box w/ micarta handle. DM

It was so much fun for me and felt great to see David and his better half. ;) Mrs Martin is such a talented scrimshaw artist , wish I would have took some close-ups of her work on the exhibit table. David had two huge bench stones and his home made bench strop for the sharpening of attendees blades. :) The interest in Davids Buck Knife exhibit was substantual .

Again awesome job David. Is that some of your wife's scrimshaw work on the knife half in the case on your table? If so I would love to see a pic. Got a project in the works that I will need your talent wife's finishing work on so will be contacting you in the future :)

Leesa Martin does some really intricate scrimshaw work, she did several Buck 110s for members here when Chuck Buck offered the cow bone build outs. Sure wish Buck would do some more build outs like that again. ;)

gsea, yes, there were some bolo ties and a 112 on the table with her scrimshaw work on them. I'll get you a picture of this 112. Just let us
know on your project and she'll work with you.
Horse, thanks. And we really enjoyed you stopping by. Hadn't seen you for a few years. So, this was a treat.
We are safely home, all is well. Tomorrow a work day. DM
