Show Time

If I run across a model that is hard to find (Empress Trio or 111 Classic) I'll purchase it and clean it up to resale. Others that fall into this category would be a inverted 3 line, a 317, a swivel sheath 124, a no dot 110 or 112. Items like this I'm on the look out for to resale. DM

Thank you guys for this support and concern for Leesa. She is feeling some better today. I'm hoping by tomorrow afternoon she will be much improved. I sharpened several knives today and talked to many Buck knife owners about the age of the models they had. Some persons don't understand this foreign contract and models produced off shore. I didn't have a lot of time to search for a real gem today. I looked through around 165 tables and found 2-3 models I want. Tomorrow I'll search the other 40-50 tables if I can get my youngest to man my table. Something interesting, they are adding a west wing to this building and it will hold 40-45 more tables. This will bump us to about 250 tables. A decent size show. Still, not the size of Albuquerque or Tucson shows but they are much larger cities. I'm tired and need to get my cot set up. I'll get you some pictures up tomorrow. Thanks, DM

I'm back home. All went well today. There was snow for about the last 20 miles but none on the road. Traffic was good today. Several wanted
to talk Buck knife models and get their knife sharpened. DM

David, Although BCCI may not say it here, they do appreciate you putting on the BUCK coat in the SW US. It's tough to find and go to knife shows in the center of the US. And especially so when you live near the end of the road. But, you can hunt quail from the house.....I might give up show for that. ….300

Another great job. Thank you for representing BCCI again David. Your photographs were nice. I hope your wife is feeling better now. Nice work.

Gedd, thanks. She is feeling better. I brought her some smoked brisket and she ate a little and said it tasted good. Any thing taste good after 3 days of soup. Something I've learned about shows (at least the ones I traffic in) you can run into all sorts. For instance a man stops by my table and
starts in on why Buck offered these non-locking 300 series knives? And I listen for a while and tried to explain to him that some people like
those. He says, well I don't know why as it can fold on your fingers and you can get cut. Then I pulled out my 334 Trapper and said I like carrying this one. He glared at me and said, your one of them and left...? O- Well. DM

Been busy this weekend moving furniture to and visiting with my daughter and son-in-law in the mountains. Haven’t had time to browse or get caught up - but it looks like a good show for you and your Buck’s David. Glad your wife feels a little better. We’re about to leave Asheville for our 6-1/2 hour drive back to the coast - glad it’s not raining today. OH

300, thanks. Our quail season ended on 2-15. Now, I have to wait until September. I had a great time. They had beefed up security and not
just a rent-a-cop. These were county sheriff's working in a team patrolling, walking up and down each aisle. Then go to the next room. When I went to the parking lot to get my lunch cooler, there were 2 patrolling out there. They ask to look in my Igloo. When I showed them I said,
my wife made me some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Do you want one? Sure, they said and I then went back into the building. Wheu! A close call on 2 accounts. One they let me back in the building and two they didn't confiscate ALL my cookies. :) DM
