The last Buck was a 303 with Pearlite scales I got from Walmart on a closeout for $7, I bought about 5 of 'em and gave away 4, glad I kept one.

just got this one in. I bought it through ebay person selling said it was the 2005 because of the stamp. was a little up in arms when the box said it was made in 2008. turns out this is a build out knife ....SCORE ! ...especially considering you can't buy a current year rubber handle on for what I bought this for.

This thing has a great handle!! It does feel great in your hand. I would prefer a plain edge but understand the need for a boat knife to quickly cut a line or rope.
Btw, I've decided all these nylon sheaths Buck is offering are pretty nifty.
