Show us your Acorn shield GEC’s

Hmmmmm. I think we are gonna have to check down with the first base ump to see if this 2AB check swing qualifies as an acorn shield??? How bout it Travman Travman ?

Of course, all this is in good fun 😂 Mustacheben Mustacheben . I see acorns and stainless steel. I love it! Such a good Barlow knife 👍🏼.
Haha I was wondering if I could squeeze in here or not, thanks for keeping me honest 🤣 Yes indeed Travman Travman I can bow out if not intended to go this route ☺️.

I know that these do not have the Shield but they are the GEC BRAND and they are Stainless and GEC did call them a 2AB Barlow or 2 Acorn Barlow .

Travman Travman : If you believe that these should not be shown , I will remove them .

Oh yeah. These definitely count. Barlow’s don’t usually have shields so the 2 acorn bolster stamp takes the place of the shield.

GEC Brand and Acorn shield usually means stainless, except when it’s a fixed blade, except sometimes when the fixed blades actually are stainless…

This fixed blade is definitely NOT stainless though.

Travman Travman I think I’ve got the single blade sibling of the 48 you showed in the first post of this thread.

Nice single blade 48. I think I have the sibling to your fixed blade. Mine has Chestnut handles. Yours looks a little darker. Is it Bocote?

I got mine as probably the third or fourth owner and it didn’t have a tube or any info unfortunately. I think it’s chestnut and maybe just a darker variation… although it does look like bocote like you say.
