We all have too many belts. Where the heck do you put them? New, used, etc.

Pictures please. I am getting ideas here :)

This photo is a bit old... but the belt storage hasn't changed much. New belts on the wall... old belts hanging from the table-saw.

That seems really straight forward and effective Erin. I think I was overthinking it with a mobile belt holder, but simple might just be the way to go.

I saw some pics of someone who hung them from the ceiling... I think it was a "shop tour" thread... I'll go hunt and find it...

I keep all the belts im using hanging off screws in my table right by my grinder. The new ones are in a cabinet.

I hang the belts that are on the go on the wall within reach of the grinder. The new ones remain in their original boxes to reduce the chances of contamination, an important concideration for the finer grits.

I keep them either in plastic pails and lids sorted by grit size, or in filing cabinet drawers.

Grit contamination is the reason I do this too, Why pay for a 600 or 1200 grit belt then hang it out to collect all that grit/dust in the air. ?

I cut one of the 4" diameter heavy cardboard tubes Aldo mails his steel in- into sections, put the section over a nail, and hang my belts on them.

I saw that too, looked a little hard to reach.

I couldn't find the post with them... but yea it might be hard to reach I guess it depends on how often you go for your belts. But you gotta admit that up on the ceiling is a nice out of the way place for them...

It is so dang damp here I store my new ones in large ziplock bags (by grit) in lidded plastic picnic cooler chests. Used ones hang on dowel peg racks.
