Hello friends, I recently picked up this awesome Teamster's Jack and noticed that nothing is etched or stamped in the shield like the others I have seen. The knife is not marked as a "S" or a 2nd that I can see. Can someone share the history?

Hmm, does it look like someone sanded down the shield to remove it? Mine has a pretty deep etch or stamp.
 
That's the 2nd 66 HJ I've seen for sale recently and I'm surprised its not an S
I have one that was purchased from an old friend name Roland who is no longer with us RIP that makes 3
Roland told me the final buffing removed the lettering I'm sure Charlie will fill us in maybe the sheild was proud
Edit: I forgot to mention the knife or Cap is not marked S or 2nd but someone did write 2nd on the tube
