Goldie, what a great era of knife making your 3 examples come from. What a shame these companies folded, such innovating and beautiful knives.
 
There's an old adage that "No one is interested in something until you tell them it's sold, then everyone wants to buy it". Is it just me or do all these discontinued models look more desirable than most the current offerings.
 
I must be getting old, I think every folder I've got is discontinued except my Sage2 and my Ladybug. Here's one I didn't see posted above, Spyderco G10 Endura.
 
(Thrustus), yes, its too bad all three companies went under,i know that the finish used on the ti nives was very expensive to do,i think a company called george industries applied the finish.rekat started out pretty good,but lost momentum a few years later.their last models were not too popular,& speedtech was also very expensive to make,i guess they couldnt make a good enough profit to survive.
 
It doesn't seem that long ago that the Spyderco Kukri's and Barong's were available. Is Jill Jackson Sal Glasers wife? LOL
