My fav in that pic is the custom 11. I have a Kreined 11 that is near and dear to me.

No full collection pic's right now, but here's a few partials.

Latest two newcomers:

Seeing these 11's makes me want to get one even more! Nice! You have the knives that I went to get down the line, especially the karambits!

Here is my contribution
ejeguvuv.jpg

The one on the left was a 99 Commander, which I no longer own. The second from the left is a 99 Specwar A BTS, sold it. The Black Mach-1 went to a friend. The Tan Mach-1 was pimped by Ferrk as far as I know. It has contoured scales and feels amazing in the hand. It was serrated, but I wanted a Plain Edge, so I sent it off to Jesse Jarosz. He made it into plain edge with a recurve and put a mirror polish on the blade. This is one of my favorite knives. It also has a Steel Flame Darkness clip. The knife on the top is a Benchmade 975S that was also reground by Jesse. He did an Anso pattern on the scales. It was one of the first blades that he put his makers mark on. He no longer pimps knives or regrinds blades. He has his own line.
I have two other Emersons that are not pictured, an M-wave and a Persian that was pimped.

You got some amazing blade Sam! Jesse did an outstanding job on the regrinds! Im jealous of your collection bro! I need an 11 and a commander...then I'll be set!:thumbup:

Duuuuuuuuuuuuude(s). :D

Yooooo Rolf! Got anything to contribute brother?!? :D

Man I'm jealous! I will be there one day lol. I really the like the BM Specwars. Amazing build quality! I need a Gentleman Jim! Soo many Emersons lol...I just want them all! :D

How's the 15? I'm really diggin' it! There are soo many models I want to handle!

I need another snubby, seeing yours makes me want to get one. The new Bulldog reminds me of it just a slightly larger blade and the blade to handle ratio is a lot better!

The 15 is great. Excellent ergos in both forward and reverse grips. Tanto/recurve blade is great as well.

Photos of my recent acquisitions. Poor lighting has washed out the handles

It came up on the exchange and I was able to get it for a very reasonable trade and then sent off to Benchmade for a tune up.
There is still a bit of life left in it but I really wanted it just to own a small piece of history.

Speaking of history, I know a guy trying to sell a '97 Raven A BTS in pretty damn good shape. Thought of picking it up myself but i'm more focused on other designs at the moment.

left to right, top to bottom:
SOCFK, my first ever Emerson which I got around Christmas 2000.
Karambit which I bought off a good friend.
CQC-12 from TADGear around 04. I asked them specifically to find me one with the old style finish on the Ti side.
A-100. I wasn't gonna get this one because of the serrations but since the serial number was 100, I said why not :).
Commander and Karambit trainers.
La Griffe. Can't remember if I got this with or soon after the SOCFK.
Super Commander #188
Super CQC-8 #48
Super Karambit # 46

The SOCFK and the La Griffe are now retired from EDC. The regular Karambit gets carried everyday. The 12 is still in rotation and the 100 I carry when I'm in dress pants or slacks (which now hardly ever happens).

Yo!
I just have one. A Tan CQC-7B with the Black PE Blade. It's my favorite Emerson.
Thank you, Aaron.

Show us your used and abused Emerson Collection! Would be nice if you could give a brief description (or story) on why you chose to get that knife, how you like it and all that good stuff! Remember to post as many pics as possible! Emersons Knives just tickle my fancy....in the good way! :D

I'll go first!

Here are my 4. I gifted my girlfriend a 14 but sold it because she wanted something a little bigger. I plan on getting matching Commanders for the both of us. A regular sized for me and a mini or micro commander for her.

The Horseman was the first one I've ever gotten for myself and received it in a trade. I used this thing to the max and only the coating on the tip has given out a little bit. Lock failed and cut me at one point but its fixed now. I have big hands and it for some reason it fits it well. Kinda odd, I could go for the regular 8 though. Lock up is tight with minimal up and down play. As you can see the handles are not grippy but smooth. I received the knife that way but they were not sanded down all the way. It seemed to have been spray painted a khaki color then sanded off but I finished it off and looks pretty good. Its on the thin side though.

This one is a Benchmade/Emerson collaboration when Ernie still hasn't begin making his knives. Benchmade 975 or the Emerson Super 7 variant. This one has easily become one my top folders! Also the first knife in my entire collection that has a Chisel Grind. I wasn't too fond of it at first but man this thing cuts like a laser! It comes bead-blasted with blacked out hardware which I immediately changed. Gave it a 2-tone finish and mirror polished the hardware. After wards i ended up giving it a full Satin finish which was a pain but came out looking good. Gave it a Blue CF clip and it just fits so good. I carry this one almost everyday! Never gonna get rid of this one!

Next up, the ROADHOUSE!
This is one is a bad Mofo! I got a great deal on it and really really like it! I dont carry it as much because of its looks. It's aggressive lol. This one was just am impulse buy and do not regret it one bit. I I wouldn't mind trading this one off though but for now I'm just looking to increase my Emerson collection instead of reducing it lol. This one could use a .45 thumbdisc. Polished up the pivot on this one. I really think that all Emersons should come with Satin Hardware to correspond with the blade but that's just me :)

Last one I bought and love very much is the Emerson Journeyman. I dont understand why this is such an underrated knife! I believe it has one of the most EDC'able blade shapes out of all of them! Ergo's are phenomenal! I upgraded the hardware with some Ti and gave it a Sterling Silver Thumbdisk. It doesnt have the wolf emblem clip on right now but it will soon! I can't imagine getting rid of this one at all! A Super Journeyman (Superman) would be amazing! This should be on everybodies top list to get!

Can I ask where you picked up the journeymen's hardware?

I got the Sterling Silver TD from a guy on the bay, hes also on instagram and ran me about $40+ shipping.
The hardware was sent to me by a man named Nathawut. He's on FB as Nathawut Customized or Nathctm on Instagram. Ask him about the standoffs and the pivot. He provided the anodizing.
The clip was done by me. The wolf head was part of a ring I bought and I took it off the ring part. I then epoxied it to the clip. My ghetto version of steel flame. Ii have another wolf head in an all silver finish too! Hope this helps!

Sorry it took so long to get pictures up. 1 more not included here yet...its coming next week, and I'm pretty excited about it. It's a custom, one of my favorite designs. I think it should round out my collection nicely.

1) Emerson 5 year commander-
Ernie made these in 2003 in honor of the 5 year anniversary of the 1998 commander. Built to the same specs, thick g10 and TI, custom like smoothness, and a hand ground blade by the man himself. I consider it a semi-custom, but I'm biased.

2) A-100
I picked this up to try it out, and it's been in my pocket one way or another ever since. Utilitarian blade shape and a simple design makes for an easy carry, and a perfect companion to the Commander.

3) 98 Commander
The famed 98. I spent a good year trying to get one of these. Domed pivot, no jimping, custom smoothness, and nice deep swedge. It's all that and a bag of chips.
