Show us your ivory!

I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I think it deserves to be resurrected in order to reap a further harvest of ivory handled awesomeness. Maybe some folks have some post-blade pictures....

I tend to stay as far away from most ivories as possible - and I don't particularly care for Bowies - but this Curt Erickson piece has always been one I thought was extraordinarily beautiful:

Ivory can be pretty cool, for sure. Here is a frame handled feathered-ivory fighter from Don.

That is spectacular on so many levels.
My eye is drawn to the gold border on the guard.
The symmetry of it leaves me speechless.
Wow!
Huge Respect from Texas.

I try very hard not to covet, but some of the knives here are so beautiful. I am so glad this thread made a return to the front page. Thanks for bringing it back.

Keven that bottom set of scales would look so great on a frame handle like Mike Q does or one of DHIII's stunning slip joints.thanks for posting them and the beautifully crafted knives.

Yes, they would Chris. My problem is I buy the stuff and then have such a hard time deciding which knife to use them on that I end up just collecting um.

Two folders with ivory scales from the Belgian knife maker Eric Parmentier, the Explorer and the Canadian:
