This one, on the other hand, is rather special...

Bone handled Trapper. Very nice but, of course, I don't use it.

The Camillus Collectors Club started out with so much promise that, after the first year's membership, I bought a life membership. A couple more newsletters and then nothing more to be heard from them. No answers to my emails from Camillus (the Collectors Club was company ran) about the status of the club or whether the life members can ever expect a refund if the club is, in fact, defunct. :(

But I did get a nice knife. Of course I paid for it. :rolleyes: :D

This is the Camillus 2-blade trapper model 716 I bought 10+ years ago. Both blades lock. It is a well built, heavy knife and came with a brown leather holster.

Ginny, please email me a photo of your knife. Simply click on my user name here to do so.

Cap, I have about a dozen of the ASEK knives, mostly various commemoratives. I carried one many, many years ago in a land far, far away. Not fancy, but it never let me down. I like the collector club knife! Very nice! Love the pattern. Nice example there from Parnass as well.

I have enjoyed this thread,

Phil

Keep um comin!

How did the DA mechanism work? Did it use the same opening mechanism that the production model uses, or was it something compeltely different?

After I'd carried it for a few months, I decided to have a look at the inside to see how the Heat works. I was very impressed by the simplicity of it all. You design some remarkable knives, and though I don't carry it much anymore, the Heat is one of my favorites.

I have quite a Camillus knives myself, but no pics right now.

However, here is a pic of a new Camillus that I just posted for the gang over at the Schrade forum. It was a gift from my sister, a rework by Sante Fe stone works, and a nice piece, IMHO.

I also just posted a pic of pilot's survival knife in the PSK thread.

More nice knives.

Here's a pic of the vest used by pilots to carry a Pilot survival knife and a couple of special issue/commemorative knives. Unreal how many of there were made by Camillus for many different companies.

I probably own more knives with the Camillus/CUDA and Darrel Ralph names on it than any other maker or manufacturer. I need to do a group shot of all my DDR/Camillus knives. When I get that pic done I'll post it here.

Here are a few of my Camillus blades. There may be more but I can't think of any more right now;
