Show us your oiled micarta!!!

I searched through the site and was not able to find a thread like this, so for all of those who have micarta grips and wonder not only how they would look oiled, but how to get the best results doing it, let's have the experienced hogs, hoggettes, and piglets post their oiled grip pics. I'll start with a pic of my Fehrman LC and BATACLE #39.

BTW...I just sprayed them both down with CLP, then wiped 'em off with a sheet of Bounty.

Red G10 oiled and not. Note G10 doesn't absorb mineral oil as much as micarta.

I think he means artsy outdoors pics of beautiful knives with micarta that looks almost like walnut or oak. :D
 
Holy shit Jax...how did you get #27 to look like that? :eek: I want mine to look like that. And that last pic of the BATAC with the ss grips...that's crazy. Now I want a second BATAC. You guys are gonna get me killed...

I'm sure that I have a few... But I think I'm out of oiled Micarta pix :) If you don't mind me hijacking your thread temporarily, I'll dig up a few others f ya want me to.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Mori, but that PBS looks like it's G10.

g10 grains are coarser and typically easily visible.

the color on these is even and very deep, which makes me fairly certain it is paper.


but i have no other paper scales to compare to.
