Usually, I'm one of the advocates for educating the sheeple on what good a knife can do.

But just for a change, let's see the scary knives. The ones with big black blades and fancy notches, that you pull out when you really do want to make someone nervous.

By far the most intimidating folder I have seen, my beloved Chinook 1. This one doesn't see any pocket time or action because there is really no actual good use for it unless it was for hurting someone. It's heavy, beefy, and scary. When the blade locks into place it sounds almost like cocking a shotgun. :D

This was my EDC last week. The Byrd Hawkbill is not real big but it is pretty scary. The 581 Barrage is one of the biggest that I EDC.

Here are my scariest, none of which really gets carried anymore, whether for sentimental reasons, or impracticality.

My zt0350 is about the scariest thing I've got and you guys know what those look like so ill spare you the crappy cell phone pics.

I guess uber-ninja-stabinators really just aren't my thing.

nothing beats a fully serrated spydie edge. i own the police model in the pic. the civilian looks deadly too

These generally scare people when they learn how much I have invested in them and the associated activities.

But I must say, I do not know any "sheeple" nor would I attempt to educate someone I feel compelled to label with a derogatory term....then again, I try not to use derogatory terms...

Totally agree. And besides, everybody needs at least one big "Crocodile Dundee" knife.:D

(That's a 9" blade.)

Here are a couple of mine.

First is the REKAT Sifu. All black, finger grooves, pretty much all things "scary tactical" :P

And my Ontario Bagwell Hell's Belle. Yah

5 finger grooves!?

Just in case you have to go all hardcore and use ALL 5 Fingers in the grooves to chop.

Really though, I think that it was intended as a way to still have your fingers in a groove whether you choked up all the way or down to chop.

12" blade with 7" sharpened top clip, 2.5" from spine to edge at the belly of the recurve:

I had John Gonzalez from Dervish Knives put a new handle on a bowie I got from Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works. This was intended as my ultimate pigsticker knife but turned out to be a bit too much to be safe. The blade is long enough to come out the other side of the pig and possibly hurt the catch dogs.

This is what it looked like when I got it from MMHW:

Those are 1" squares on the mat.

Hard to beat a CS Spartan for scary... That thing is a monster of a knife.

This is a custom I'm working on right now. It'll be quite the intimidating PracTac knife when finished. ;)
