Hi Everyone,

"Bobby B" recommended that we have a "Show Us Your SOGs" thread, so here it is!

I'll start out. This is a one-of-a-kind Gold TiNi SwitchPlier that I had custom made. I'm going to have the plierhead redone to be more glossy. But for now, it's my baby! :)

Please post pictures of your SOG knives here! If you're not a Gold Member (thus unable to attach images) or don't have a server to host your images, email them to me and I'll put them on SOG's site (limit of five images per person).

Just an after thought...How about an "unofficial contest" giving a "free" knife to the winner of the best picture? I can certainly drum up a knife (maybe not a top end one...because it may come out of my "paycheck" :) ). The picture must be stunning, moving, original, creative, not sick or lurid (sorry VG), and generally makes someone want to vote for it.

In this one, we’ll run it a few weeks (maybe till April 7th...I'll choose later and give enough "heads up"...I really want a nice selection from which to choose) and then take it to a vote of our peers (that's you guys). Who can't win? I can't; other SOG employees; families of employees; my 2.5 year old kid can’t enter...never mind...I need to go to bed. I think you get the drift. I tend to ramble when I’m over the edge.

IF you are uncertain as to procedures for posting images, email me and I can help you out.

If you have photos with no way to scan them and if you would like, send them to me at SOG (email me for instructions), I will scan them and return the photos to you. I will make ever effort to protect your photos and return them in the same condition received. I cannot, though, take complete responsibility for your photo.

Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: If we host your image(s), we reserve the right to resize it, use it, alter it, or delete it as we see fit! :)

When I get my Vision back from Bodycote (BC coating, I will add it.

I showed you mine, now let's see yours!!! :D :p ;)

Here's my happy little family! The Night Vision has been the EDC for well over a year. We've very recently discontinued it, so I've gone back to the SOG Vision (the Titanium handled one). The little guy there in the middle is the Mini X-Ray Vision.

WOW!!! This is awesome!!! I don't have any way to post or email my pic's!:( RATS!!!

Bobby, How did you polish the TC blade? Looks great!:)

I don't have any way to post or email my pic's! ...How did you polish the TC blade?

Ron said he'd host pics on his site (up to 5...). If you can take digi-pics, or scan some, you can e-mail them to him...?...

A gentleman by the name of J. Arnold did the polishing (and the serrations). He is a local knifemaker, who does some fine work. One day I may even be able to afford one of his knives, they are nice...:D

I have another pic to post: my gold TiNi power twins...

SkagSig40, if you mail me some photos I'll scan them in and email them to Ron for you. Let me know.

Those are some great pics that people have posted.:D I hope mine turn out as nice.;)

OK Guys,

Fork over the images! I know they're out there. I can help you out. Email me......Or call me (888.SOG.BEST...if you can get past my call screener! :D ).

Hi Bill,

I knew there were more images out there!!! You have two of SOG's most traditional knives: the Tomcat ("Class. Can we all say 'TANK' together?") and the Pentagon. I love these knives so much, I'm having a custom kydex sheaths made for them (the sheath I'm having make for the Tomcat is for the Cocobolo model, though I'll try it in the Kraton version, like yours). Though our new stuff has received a lot of acclaim, these older knives are extremely well made.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Haven't seen you in a while; you still here?
You MUST have some pics to post?!

Hi Ron,

Here are mine: a Pentagon Elite folder (the small one ;) ), bought by a Dutch sale representative on the Shot Show for me. Here in Holland the liner lock version is still the only one you can buy from the regular shops.
And next the Paratool. Hope you like them. Click on the picture for an even bigger one. :)

Gr,, Paul

Hi Paul,

WOW! The photos are very well done! Also, welcome to BladeForums.....and especially the SOG Forum.

I think I remember talking with the gentleman from Holland you are referencing. I talked with someone I think was from Holland on either Sunday or Monday of the SHOT Show, telling him when the samples would go on sale. I remember specifically that he said he was buying for someone else. Is he tall and slender? His age maybe in the 50's?

I can tell by your ParaTool that it was one of the original ones, dating back probably 8-10 years.

Thank you very much for sharing! :)

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the compliment. :) I took the photos with a borrowed digital camera, original resolution 1600 x 1200 pixels.
The cutlery shop owner where I bought the Pentagon arranged the import of the knife with the sale representative, so I don't know who he is.

Here's my Recondo ;)

Well, here are my SOGs! My digital camera is, as you can see, not that great. I’ve been wanting to post these pics for a while but I needed some computer help from a good friend first. (I’m no guru on the keyboard!) I really enjoy my SOG knives. The SEAL 2K pictured is not the one I’ve carried for a couple of years now. This is a new one I keep in my safe collection. The one I’ve carried has been thru A LOT and is still going strong! I’ve took it EVERYWHERE from fossil diving to a “creep” during scout sniper school in Jacksonville N.C. I used the butt for a hammer to knock loose fossil sharks teeth in the black water coastal rivers of S.C. and I’ve used the blade like a machete. It’s the best knife I think I’ve ever owned! I just wish I had a better digital cam! :(

Cool idea Ron!
Pictures of my 3 favorite SOG's.
Love the leather sheath on the pentagon, you guys still make them? Or is everything nylon now?

Finally...
Here is the long-awaited BC Vision.
rob4.jpg

It turned out really well. The blade looks almost as though it's black chromed. All the hardware went too, along with the clip, and liners. I filed notches in the liners at the finger groove, it gives it great grip, and "blind" indexing.
I am very pleased. Hope you all like it ;)

As a comparison, I put the BC coated Ti Vision and my "unfooled-around-with" Night Vision together...

Wow, Rob!!! You know how much I love the Visions...now you have me "coveting" your knife. I'm sure you feel better knowing I lives in Seattle. How about I trade you my Vision for your Vision? ;)
