Show us your Throwing Knife Collection

I don't know much about throwing knives but I picked these up from my local thrift store for $30 (Canadian) last month. They don't look like they been used at all. Haven't had a chance to throw them yet. I have to make a target for them.

Wow. That is a great find, a third of the standard price in USD, and Canadian prices seem to be a bit higher in general even figuring in the exchange rate. I would hit that thrift store again sometime.

Here's a link to some of my throwers. I've never thought to put them all together in one pic. It would take me a couple of hours to round them all up. The ones in the pics aren't even half of my throwers. The descriptions are in the comments.
that's a neat idea with the fishing weights. the guy in the targets face with the knife right there made me laugh.

Not a collection or a knife, but this is my favorite throwing device.
It’s almost two feet long and when I throw it at a stump or something you can literally feel it through the ground and in your chest!1643132626327.jpeg

This is my only throwing knife.

It’s the first knife (of around 5) I forged. It’s 1/4” 5160 at around 55-57 RC.

I’ve carried it daily at work since I made it about 14 years ago. I intended it to be mostly a rescue/entry tool, but in reality it’s been an injured wildlife euthanasia device more than anything else…

Who’s the maker of the four stuck in the zombie target?
The knives are called Iron Tear made by Nobody Knife Works (Odi). He’s on Etsy, Facebook, etc. The cases that hold those are from TSK Customs (Tony). They were wonderful to work with.

Lets Throw,

Started out with the Acejet Finn's They were the Best to learn the No Spin ,,((Will be selling I don't use them anymore )) ,then the Acejet Stingers which were lighter in weight and I got real good with Military half spins ,,from there I went with the cold Steel 1st addition Forge steel Bowie and the Cold steel double point ,, Then I found the Tops Pig Sticker which is OK for No Spin and full spin ,,,BUT found that the Tops Operator -7 Throws as good if not better than the Finns or any other knife I bought to throw

I don't have any pictures handy; but have a few. Found this post from Nov 1, 2005 describing one of them. I bought it and one of his from Bobby Branton probably around 2002 or so. One of these days, I may get more. I had a wrist surgery so not totally confident how well i could still throw. Throwing almost anything hard hurts yet. I have several; but prefer the bowie axe style.
  • I have a PJ Tomes Throwing Bowie in a Kenny Rowe sheath. It is the only serious throwing knife I have that I would truly feel comfortable trying to use to kill a wild hog or deer with in the field. It is one massive, very sharp piece of steel that happens to be the best and easiest throwing knife I've ever used in a long history of beating up knives. If it weren't expensive, I'd have several made just like it.
